Ted Nugent brought his Shut Up & Jam tour to the Indian Creek Ampitheatre in Oxford, OH on Saturday night. While The Nuge is a polarizing name that causes strong reactions from devotion to disgust, Nugent did nothing but delight the crowd as only he can do. There were, of course, protesters from PETA and Native American Indians outside the venue prior to the show, but all they managed to do was make Ted rock even louder than usual. Nugent served up a barbecue of classic hits from his almost forty year old career. To make the evening even more special, long time Nugent collaborator, Derek St. Holmes was front and center playing guitar and singing on songs such as “Just What the Doctor Ordered” and “Hey Baby.” Love him or hate him (he really doesn’t care), on this Saturday night in Oxford, OH Ted Nugent did what he does best…rock and roll with a spirit of the wild style.
