Three Days Grace Bring the Alienation Tour to Cincinnati with I Prevail and The Funeral Portrait – Concert Review
Heritage Bank Center – Cincinnati, Ohio | March 10, 2026
What happens when a band finds massive success, loses their lead singer, replaces him with another great one, and then years later brings the original singer back into the fold?
It doesn’t happen very often, but that’s exactly the case with Three Days Grace.
On Tuesday, March 10, the band brought the Alienation Tour to Heritage Bank Center in Cincinnati, Ohio, with I Prevail and The Funeral Portrait rounding out a stacked lineup. From the first note of the night to the final song, this was one of those shows that reminded you just how strong hard rock still is when it’s done right.
The big question going in was whether Three Days Grace were truly ready to carry a major tour as headliners.
By the end of the night, there was no question.
They absolutely were.

Three Days Grace Prove They Belong at the Top
The last time I saw Three Days Grace, they were an opening band, and they were incredible then.
Fast forward a few years, and now they’re headlining. Going into this show, I found myself wondering whether they were fully there yet as a headlining act.
After watching them in Cincinnati, all doubt disappeared.
The band is absolutely on top of their game right now.
One of the most interesting things about this version of Three Days Grace is the two-singer setup, with Adam Gontier back in the band alongside Matt Walst. On paper, that setup might seem awkward or forced.
On stage, it works perfectly.
There were no egos and no awkward moments. The two singers traded vocals, shared the spotlight, and played off each other in a way that actually made the show feel even bigger.
Instead of one frontman carrying the performance, the dynamic created double the presence and double the energy. The crowd loved every minute of it.
The band mixed classic Three Days Grace songs with newer material from their latest album Alienation, and the set flowed naturally between the two.
And maybe the most impressive part of the night was the crowd energy. Tuesday night crowds can sometimes be a little reserved, but inside Heritage Bank Center it felt like a Saturday night rock show.
Fans were singing along, hands were in the air, and the band fed off every bit of that energy.
Three Days Grace didn’t just look ready to headline.
They owned it.

I Prevail Bring Headliner-Level Energy
Next up was I Prevail, and they wasted no time taking the energy inside Heritage Bank Center to another level.
Everything about their set felt massive. The lighting. The pyro. The stage presence. The intensity.
It all felt like a band that could easily be headlining their own arena show.
Sometimes a Tuesday night crowd can take a little while to warm up, but that wasn’t the case here. The audience was locked in from the start and feeding off the band’s energy.
I Prevail played with the kind of confidence that makes you stop and take notice. If they’re not headlining arenas yet, it feels like only a matter of time before they get there.
They’re definitely on my radar now, and they’re absolutely a band worth checking out.

The Funeral Portrait Kick Things Off in Style
Opening the night was The Funeral Portrait, a band I had never seen before and honestly didn’t know much about going in. That changed quickly.
From the moment they hit the stage, it was clear they knew exactly what they were doing. Their sound had a theatrical edge to it — think Motionless in White, but without leaning so heavily on the screaming — mixed with a polished stage presence and a ton of energy.
For an opening band playing to a crowd that may not know them yet, they did exactly what you want an opener to do: they made people pay attention.
And honestly, the highest compliment I can give any band is this:
I bought their shirt.
As soon as the show was over, I went straight to the merch booth and picked up a Funeral Portrait t-shirt that I’ll proudly wear. That alone says a lot. This is a band that feels like they’re just getting started, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see them climbing festival bills and headlining their own tours before long.

Final Thoughts on the Alienation Tour
The Alienation Tour is one of those rare tours where every band on the bill brings something worth seeing.
The Funeral Portrait opened the night by winning over new fans. I Prevail delivered a performance that already feels like a headline set. And Three Days Grace closed things out by proving they are more than ready for this moment in their career.
Three bands. Three strong performances. One seriously great night of rock music.
If the Alienation Tour is coming anywhere near your city, it’s absolutely worth checking out. And even if you’re only familiar with one of the bands going in, there’s a good chance you’ll leave a fan of all three.
That’s exactly what happened to me.
